Fond Farewell Films is excited to announce that The Butcher has been officially selected as a Hometowner Short at the 2017 Indie Memphis Film Festival! This is especially meaningful for the film and for writer/director Kyle Taubken as The Butcher was made in and around his hometown of Memphis, TN! A note from the director: "Oh man, this is the big one for me. I am BEYOND thrilled to announce The Butcher has been named an Official Selection of the 2017 Indie Memphis Film Festival in the Hometowner Shorts category! About half the film was made in my current hometown of Memphis and half in my childhood hometown in northern Mississippi so it would certainly be accurate to call this a really elaborate home movie. But the idea of home is very prevalent in the DNA of both the film's narrative and production so to screen it at home is super special and just feels exactly right. The opportunity to share it with family and friends at the 20th anniversary of Indie Memphis this year is just too much. THANK YOU!"
